I am very sorry for the distress this young man’s family is enduring. I lived in Los Angeles, including the DTLA area, for more than twenty years and such a story is really out of the ordinary. Though I now live in Upstate NY, I still have LA friends who regularly use public transit; I’ll pass this story on to them.
